Adventure Angels, Tour Terms & Conditions
When booking a tour with Adventure Angels Motorcycle Tours (Adventure Angels), you accept and agree to the terms and conditions herewith. On completion of your booking, you agree to these conditions by ticking the box “I agree to the Terms & Conditions”. We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. It is therefore your responsibility to check the Terms and Conditions regularly for any changes.
For Groups only – Party Leader
The person named on the quotation (“party leader”) must be authorised to make the booking on the basis of these Terms and Conditions by all persons named on the booking with all persons to be of minimum age 25 years old when the booking is made. By paying the deposit, the party leader accepts these Terms and Conditions on behalf of all members of the party and confirms that he/she is so authorised to do so by all other members of the party. The party leader is responsible for all payments due to us throughout the process.
Verbal changes of contract are invalid unless confirmed in writing by Adventure Angels. Should any parts of the Rental Terms & Conditions become invalid, this does not invalidate the remainder of the contract.
Payment Terms – Tours
- At the time of booking a Tour 50% of the tour price is required, inclusive of a non-refundable deposit of €500.00 per motorcycle.
- The 50% remainder balance of the tour price must be paid no later than 60 days before the tour commencement date.
- During Covid times refunds will be paid in full – see Covid 19 or any pandemic paragraph below.
The customer may request amendments to the tour and Adventure Angels will use its reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests and will inform the customer of any additional costs or other changes to the tour which may be required. Any such costs will be paid in full by the customer before the commencement of the tour. At Adventure Angels discretion, an administration fee of €20.00 per change will apply in addition to the associated cost.
A deposit will be taken for all tours to secure your place/s on the tour.
On receipt of your booking, a booking confirmation will be issued by email, confirming your place/s on the tour. Tours booked within 30 days of the commencement of the tour will require payment in full at the time of booking payable by bank transfer.
An initial payment of 50% for tour bookings over 30 days prior to the tour commencement date, where the balance is not yet due, is to be paid by bank transfer.
Balance of Payment
Whenever possible, Adventure Angels will communicate with customers by email. Adventure Angels will send a final invoice reminder, please note that we request the balance of payment for your tour 2 calendar months prior to departure for bookings taken over 30 days before tour date. Late payment may result in the loss of your deposit and cancellation of your tour booking. If the balance of your tour is not received within 7 days of the due date, Adventure Angels reserve the right to cancel your place on the tour and retain your deposit in full, or alternatively, we may charge a late payment fee.
All balances for tours must be paid via bank transfer in Euros. If this is a concern, please email us to discuss.
Meals and Hotels
When/if meals are included within the price of the tour you have chosen, it will include: the hotel breakfast, usually continental style or a buffet-style cooked breakfast meal or choice of cereals, pastries, yogurt, etc. Evening meals are up to the maximum value of €20.00 per person where a set menu specifically for Adventure Angels isn’t being offered (typically a main meal and a dessert); all drinks are paid for by the guests. You are welcome to indulge in a more expensive meal if you wish, we ask that you settle the remainder. For all inclusive meals, If you have any dietary requirements please let us know in advance.
Where stipulated, the rating of the hotels on the tour is for guidance only and may not be representative of typical standards. Adventure Angels do not guarantee the rating of any accommodation whilst on the tour and any rating listed in our literature or website is only a guideline.
Where an evening meal is not included in the tour, Adventure Angels do not guarantee dining facilities for evening meals at any of the accommodations. Adventure Angels will of course always do our best to ensure that there is a bar and restaurant at the accommodation but on occasion this may be closed or unavailable due to a number of factors out of our control, including refurbishment, lack of staff and so on. Adventure Angels are under no obligation to provide evening meal facilities or compensate for the lack of facilities within accommodations. From time to time the accommodation standards may fall below the minimum standard we expect, in such instances, Adventure Angels will not be held responsible or compensate if the standard of the accommodation falls below customers expectations.
Cancellations, Refunds and Re-bookings
If You Cancel
All cancellations must be in writing by email and the following terms apply:
Loss of total value of the tour if the balance has been paid and tour has been cancelled by you, the customer, less than 2 weeks prior to your tour date i.e. your arrival date.
In case of cancellation by the you the customer, the following refunds will apply:-
Greater than 90 days
Deposit is non refundable, all other advance payments are refundable
60 to 89 Days
The greater of 25% of total price or deposit is non refundable
15 to 59 Days
50% of total price plus deposit is non refundable
0 to 14 Days
100% of total price plus deposit is non refundable
- All tour deposits are non-refundable. You may transfer your deposit to another tour within the tour season (same year/season the booking was made).
- You may transfer your booking to another person. However, you will be liable for any administration costs (typically €50.00) and will be responsible for your nominee paying their monies in full. They must maintain the dates you originally booked.
- If the balance of the tour has not been paid in full after the due date but is then cancelled by the customer, even under medical grounds, the full balance of the tour is still due for payment under these terms and Adventure Angels will seek to recover our losses or the full balance of the tour. This may be by way of legal action. This is to recover our losses for transport, tour guide costs and hotels/accommodations booked and out of pocket expenses. In such cases, you will need to make a claim from your holiday insurance provider.
- If the balance of the tour price is not paid by the due date (60 days before tour commences), Adventure Angels reserves the right to cancel the tour booking and retain the deposit.
- If you cancel your tour for personal reasons or reasons based on non-factual evidence, for example; virus outbreak, terrorism or weather. Adventure Angels reserve the right to refuse to offer a refund in part or in whole. If it has been announced by the FCO (or other similar organisation) that it advises against all but necessary travel to Cyprus then Adventure Angels will offer an amended itinerary, or offer to move your booking onto another tour within a specified timescale.
- Adventure Angels is not required to make refunds once the rental or tour commences regardless of the reason for customers being unable to complete their tour. Adventure Angels cannot be made liable for weather conditions and no refunds are made for such conditions.
- Adventure Angels has the right not to enter into the tour agreement if the customer:
- Does not sign the tour & rental terms and conditions contracts.
- Does not provide an appropriate driving licence.
- Does not authorise their credit card company for the damage deposit and the rental charges.
Failure to fulfil the above conditions will result in the customer forfeiting deposits and payments as outlined in the cancellation terms.
Once the tour has commenced, Adventure Angel retains the right to terminate the agreement and without notice in case of:
- Non-compliance with the customer’s responsibilities (refer Customer Responsibilities section towards the bottom of this page).
- Non-compliance of customer with the insurance obligations.
- Non-compliance of customer with rental contract conditions.
- Abuse of the motorcycle by the customer, e.g. burnouts, wheelies, etc.
- Road traffic accident or damage to the motorcycle which renders it unsafe to ride.
In case of termination of the contract, the customer is obliged to return the motorcycle immediately to the bike’s pick up location. If this is not possible, pick-up costs of €2.00 per kilometre, a €50.00 contract termination fee and any required mechanical repairs to the motorcycle will be charged to the customer’s credit card.
If Adventure Angels Cancel
Adventure Angels reserve the right to cancel any tour – however, this would only become necessary in exceptional circumstances and is a rarity. Adventure Angels have a policy to only cancel a tour if it is not financial viable for us to run the tour and we would incur losses. In such an event, we would hope to offer you an alternative. If this were not possible or acceptable, we would issue a full refund.
Adventure Angels also reserves the right to cancel any tour within 30 days or less of departure if the tour has fewer than 3 customers booked on that tour. If Adventure Angels cancel the tour within 30 days due to limited bookings you will be offered one of the following options; a self-guided tour alternative, a full refund, transfer of your booking to another tour or hold your deposit for a tour commencing the following season (year) with a discount of between 5% and 10%.
Adventure Angels will use its reasonable endeavours to ensure that the tour is provided in accordance with the tour proposal. Circumstances may occur which are beyond its control whereby this is not possible. Such circumstances may include (but are not limited to) war, threat of war, civil unrest, industrial dispute, unavoidable technical issues with transport, closure of ports, airports or other transport infrastructure, terrorism, fire, volcanic activity, flood or other adverse weather and natural or nuclear disaster or political complications or disruptions and safety issues or advice, this includes but is not limited to: refusal into a country, for the purpose of preserving safety, mechanical failure or an accident beyond our control such as the tour guide being involved in a road traffic accident, mechanical failure of the tour guides motorcycle or the tour guide suffering an injury or illness preventing him/her from continuing escorting the tour.
In the event of the occurrence of such circumstances no refund or compensation will be payable, and the tour may be cancelled or curtailed. Customers will be responsible for their own costs including meals, accommodation and transportation.
Covid 19 or any Pandemic
Where customers are unable to travel due to governmental restrictions or illness due to and only Covid 19 or other classified Pandemic, a coupon for the total trip will be issued instead of enforcing the cancellation terms. This coupon is transferable and is valid for 18 months from date of issue.
Adventure Angels makes no claim that facilities, (including hotels/accommodations, restaurants, cafes, visitors centres etc.) which are suggested, recommended, or booked on the customers’ behalf are Covid free and cannot be held responsible for customer or their passengers personal health.
Adventure Angels will not be held responsible for the reimbursement, in part or in whole, of any pre-booked hotels/accommodations or transport arrangements relating to your tour should Adventure Angels cancel, this includes but not limited to; accommodation bookings (usually on the eve of departure), any flights, ferries or train travel costs, taxis, buses or rental costs or any other out of pocket costs or expenses incurred as a result of the tour not going ahead. It is advised to take out holiday insurance.
Adventure Angels or its associates will not be liable for any personal injury, death or illness however caused.
Customers must satisfy themselves that they are competent and have sufficient experience to ride the proposed motorcycle on the planned route. Adventure Angels accepts no responsibility for any actions taken by the customer that results in an accident or injury following coaching on an Advanced Rider tour.
Customers following guided tours must ride at their own pace and not attempt to follow the group or tour guide such that the customer is riding outside of his/her capabilities.
Customers must obey the speed limits and at all times follow their own judgement as to safe riding routes.
Customers and their pillion passengers agree that they are doing so entirely at their own risk and they and their assignees will not take any claim against Adventure Angels in respect of injury, death, loss or damage.
Adventure Angels liability for loss, damage or other financial penalty due to its acts will be limited to the contract price paid.
Adventure Angels cannot and will not be held responsible for the injury or death of a customer riding on any of our tours. It is entirely the riders responsibility to ensure you maintain a safe attitude when on the tour and abide by the local laws.
Motorcycle Damage Deposit
- The motorcycles are insured under Third Party as per legal requirements, but this does NOT cover anything else.
- Damages sustained to the motorcycle are entirely the responsibility of the rider and full cost will be taken from the rider’s credit card. If no damages are incurred during your motorcycle expedition, then no charges will appear on your credit card.
These terms and conditions are subject to the Law of the Republic of Cyprus and the sole and exclusive jurisdiction of the Cyprus Courts.
Tour Itinerary Changes
Arrangements for your tour are made months, sometimes a year or more in advance. It is therefore inevitable that changes can occur. In most cases, these changes will be minor and will not affect your holiday. However, in the event of a major change, Adventure Angels will advise you immediately and you may then (a) continue the tour with the new itinerary, (b) accept an alternative of the same or similar value, or (c) cancel your holiday with a full refund. Minor changes such as slight route changes (the use of motorways instead of non-motorway roads is often unavoidable due to time restraints or weather, in such cases we will not be held responsible for these changes as the decision is based upon the best interests and safety of the group).
From time to time Adventure Angels may increase or decrease the price of tours advertised on the website or marketing material and social media platforms. This may happen after you have made a booking and can occur for a number of reasons, such as; promotion, offers, increase in accommodation costs, currency rates, transport arrangements etc. Adventure Angels do not alter the price of bookings once you have made payment or adjust your booking fee to match a newly advertised rate.
From time to time, Adventure Angels will offer a promotional discount on a tour to fill any spaces. Such offers cannot be applied to existing bookings and are more often than not, for riders booking a tour late in the day. Your tour may have been booked months in advance, usually to secure your place on the tour. You will not be entitled to the discount offered if you have already made your booking. Cancelling the tour to benefit from a promotional offer is prohibited, unless you accept that you will lose your original deposit in full and make a new booking as a new customer.
Adventure Angels Motorcycle Tours Responsibilities
Adventure Angels accept responsibility for supplying as near as practically possible a tour package as described on our website tour booking pages or in our tour itinerary.Adventure Angels are unable to control any deficiencies in services due to local conditions, hotels, maintenance, industrial dispute, religion, politics, riots, terrorism, transport or weather. Occasionally routes will differ depending on the weather or timescales, in such instances, we will not be held liable for these changes as they are made in the best interests of the group as a whole. Adventure Angels will not be held responsible for route changes, late arrival to the hotel, or riding on roads some may consider unsuitable, as a result of faulty navigation equipment or similar equipment not functioning as it should, in such cases the tour guide will be experienced to deal with this and we ask riders in the group to be patient. If a customer navigates along the route by choosing to do so either voluntarily, or has agreed to lead the group for any reason (for example the tour guide is taken ill or unable to continue), they are responsible for their own actions and all members of the group are responsible for theirs. Adventure Angels take no responsibility for such eventualities or any damage to a persons vehicle, the accuracy of the route or any injury to themselves.
Adventure Angels will ensure, the best we can, that the entire group remains together and arrives each day at the hotel.accommodation. Adventure Angels are not and cannot be responsible for the actions of other riders or passengers in the group and as such, you agree not to hold Adventure Angels responsible for; injury, accidents, damage to vehicles or fatality. Similarly, Adventure Angels shall not be responsible for any other persons belongings, possessions, vehicles or documents whilst you are on the tour.
Where first aid is required, due to an accident or illness, Adventure Angels and its tour guides are under no obligation to provide or implement first aid on an individual, however, all our guides and staff are First Aid trained and Adventure Angels will do our upmost to ensure that we provide assistance to make the injured or ill party as comfortable as possible until the emergency services arrive. Where the situation is critical, and the tour guide has the knowledge or skill to assist, for the purpose of preserving life, you agree not to hold Adventure Angels liable for any assistance provided that is deemed unsuccessful and may result in a fatality or permanent disability by any representative of Adventure Angels providing care to the best of their ability.
The customer must comply with passport, visa, driving and health regulations and all consequences resulting from non-compliance shall be the customer’s sole responsibility.
Adventure Angel strongly recommends that all customers carry valid travel insurance.
The customer must comply with national traffic laws and regulations.
It is compulsory for the rider and pillion to wear a motorcycle helmet while riding at all times. If the customer wishes to wear their own helmet, they should satisfy themselves that the helmet conforms with the requirements of Cyprus law.
In addition to holding a valid motorcycle driving license, the customer confirms that they have the relevant competence and experience to ride a motorcycle of the type they are renting.
We want you to enjoy a safe motorcycling experience with Adventure Angels, so customers must ensure that they ride safely and sensibly and take extra precautions to account for riding conditions, especially if riding an unfamiliar model or on unfamiliar roads.
The customer must advise Adventure Angel of any illness, infirmity, allergies, disabilities, health issues of any kind or dietary needs that may affect your touring holiday or other riders within the group. If you do not disclose any issues that may pose a threat to others on the tour, or the non-disclosure affects the tour to the point it affects the enjoyment of others, the tour guide reserves the right to ask the rider to leave the tour and no refund of tour costs will be eligible.
You need to be a competent rider, who is comfortable and confident they can complete the tour they have chosen, having carefully considered the mileage factors and style of roads advertised in our tour packages.
You must ensure your vehicle is secure overnight or when leaving the motorcycle unattended. Adventure Angels accept no responsibility for the loss of belongings or vehicles.
Ensure you have adequate cancellation insurance for your holiday.
To ensure you settle any extra hotel/accommodation costs before you depart the hotel, for example; mini bar usage, room service, spa facilities, food or drink bills.
Any damage to customers hotel rooms must be reported immediately to your tour guide. The customer will be liable for the full repair costs.
If customers do not settle their hotel bills for additional services, eg; food, room service, mini bar, laundry or drinks etc, we will charge €50.00 admin fee in addition to invoicing for the total cost outstanding. Failure to pay within 14 days of returning from the tour will incur a late payment charge of €100.00 and a further €1.00 per day for each day the bill remains unpaid for a maximum of 30 days, after which time we will begin legal action to recover our losses.
Customers are asked not to take items from the room when checking out, this includes; towels, sandals, slippers, robes, pillow cases, pillows, blankets, electrical items etc. Any charges issued for loss of items from the room will passed onto the room occupants with additional admin fees of €50.00 per person.
Customers are fully liable for your own actions whilst on the tour, and agree, that Adventure Angel shall not be held responsible in part or in whole, in any way, for any damage caused to you, your belongs or your vehicle. This includes; as a result of theft or damage caused by another rider in the group, including the tour guide or representative of Adventure Angels, other than what is legally bound by the insurance cover provided for both vehicles.
Adventure Angels are not and will not be responsible for any speeding offences you may be issued and that you agree to travel at a safe speed in accordance with the local law, and in which you are comfortable.
When participating on a tour it is customers responsibility to ensure you understand additional costs, which may include but not limited to: fuel, food, parking fees and room service as well as WiFi, if it is not free. Adventure Angels may not advertise all these costs on the tour booking page or in our itinerary as it is difficult to judge how much they are likely to be. Customers are responsible for these costs, which are not unreasonable expenses to expect whilst travelling. Adventure Angels shall not be liable for reimbursement of any additional expenses such as those listed above, which have been used as examples, and are under no obligation to compensate for any of these costs being incurred when customers might not have budgeted for them.
Customers are prohibited from publicly sharing any content provided to you by Adventure Angels including, but not limited to GPS routes of the tour they are attending, full tour itineraries unless disclosed on the public facing pages of the website, tour packs or any other media or documentation belonging to Adventure Angels. Customers agree not to share routes provided for the tour, either in their electronic format or in material form with any other person than those on the tour.
Marketing, Social, Media and Promotions
Unless informed otherwise by you in writing, you agree to Adventure Angels using images or video of you or your motorcycle taken on tour by Adventure Angels tour guide(s) and other customers on tour to be used for marketing and promotional purposes. This may include but not limited to; social media, social chat rooms such as WhatsApp, internet websites, blogs or marketing material such as leaflets and posters or promotional videos. Images or video provided by you or shared by you in social chat rooms such as WhatsApp, will not be shared with any other companies or organisations without your express and written permission. The images or video taken by us may contain images of your face, motorcycle and vehicle registration. You agree that Adventure Angels shall not be held responsible in the unlikely event the content is misused by another member of the public or other organisation. You also agree that Adventure Angels have your pre-approval and permission to add your mobile number and name to our WhatsApp (or similar) groups created only and specifically for the purpose of allowing members of your chosen tour to communicate freely with each other. If you do not want us to add you to this group please let us know in writing (email is acceptable). By agreeing to these terms you also agree that you will be added to a third party app, namely, Dropbox or Google Photos, so that we and others on the tour you have booked on can share images and or video of the tour. If you wish to be omitted from this list you can simply delete yourself from it at any time.
